1. To produce four full-length play adaptations of various Biblical stories per year. Three of these will be primarily for adult and teenage audiences, while one will be for children. These will include Biblical classics from the great playwrights of history and new scripts written by either myself or a playwright whom I trust to produce a script that meets the standards of the institute for a particular narrative.
2. To hold classes that train teenagers and adults to approach acting as an art of worship. Instructors will combine the best approaches from acting theory with spiritual discipline to train actors to use their personalities, creativity, and minds to embody the story of the Bible both on and off the stage.
3. To train actors to craft dramatic readings of the New Testament epistles to be performed in their entireties. This practice honors the way these texts were originally presented in the early church while also allowing contemporary believers to better understand these letters as whole works.
4. To facilitate the creation of new works of Biblical drama by hosting an annual one-act play competition. This event would host three-to-four new Biblically-based plays by writers from around the Arklatex and allow an audience and panel of judges to give awards to the productions in various categories.
